The Unofficial Network was founded in September 2012 with the aim of providing news on every topic – from mainstream sources and small blogs alike. We believe that quality, informative, truthful writing is not the exclusive preserve of the mass media. If you know of a quality news blog that would improve our offering still further, Submit it.

In April 2013 we launched our Forum, with a bold aim – to revolutionise online discussion by having every possible set of rules at once. As well as no-rules, anonymous forums and lightly-moderated open forums, we also have “Curated Forums” – we lay down the challenge for people to run a part of the forum in which they make the rules, direct the conversation, and are paid by the results. The first to take up the challenge was libertarian podcaster and Youtube legend Michael Shanklin. Anyone is invited to apply to curate a forum, and they can do so here.
